The day Chris failed his first driving test (November 5th 1984) was also the day he joined YAT, after seeing their brilliant performance of Nicholas Nickleby. Subsequently, he performed in many productions for Eric Yardley and David Lewsey.
It was with great pride that he accepted the opportunity to direct YAT in Colin Smith's adaptation of The Great Gatsby. Since then he has gone on to direct Ghetto; The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui; A Tale of Two Cities and two devised pieces Mr. Mrs. Ms and Not All Ruins Are Ancient.
His work with YAT brought him to the attention of TTC and has allowed him the opportunity to direct their productions of A Man For All Seasons; Twelve Angry Men and An Enemy of the People.
