During the past few weeks, the YAT Trustees have been monitoring the advice and guidance provided by the UK Government and Public Health England, to ensure that we are adhering to the directives around Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Earlier this week we made a decision to suspend The Snow Queen's rehearsals pending a review by Hampton Hill Theatre operators Teddington Theatre Club in line with the above guidance. They have today informed us that the theatre is to close it's doors with immediate effect to performance groups and as a result we will no longer be able to stage the production at their venue in mid-April 2020.
It is with great sadness that we learned today of the passing of Jean Goodwin on Friday 28 February 2020.
Known more to members of YAT in the 1980's and 90's, Jean was a trusted friend of our founder Eric Yardley and worked on many YAT shows in a variety of roles, most notably in Set Design and Lighting.

This Summer, YAT will be embarking on two productions. Readings and Auditions for YAT's Autumn 2008 Production of Elizabeth I by Paul Foster will begin on Monday 1 September at Collis School, Teddington at 7.30pm.
Now that The Good Person of Szechwan is over and with little over a month to go until we start work on our Autumn 2008 production, ex-YAT member Steve Hogben has stepped up to run a very exciting two part story-telling workshop on Richmond Green and in Bushy Park.
The first meeting to discuss plans for YAT's Summer 2008 production will be held on Monday 12 May at Collis School, Teddington at 7.30pm and every Monday and Thursday thereafter.
Reading and auditions for YAT's 100th Production, the Royal Hunt of the Sun by Peter Shaffer, will be held from Monday 28 January at Collis School, Teddington.
Starting Monday 19 November, YAT will begin casting and rehearsals for a number of small cast, short plays to be performed at the Studio Theatre at Hampton Hill Playhouse on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 January 2008.
